about

This was the first song written for Obliteration City and the original inspiration for the interviews-as-lyrics project. The lyrics were taken, word-for-word, from an interview with Gwyneth Paltrow which I found in an article called "Gwyneth Paltrow's Most Obnoxious Food Quotes," seen here: www.obsev.com/galleries/gwyneth-paltrows-most-obnoxious-food-quotes/181834

Original source: "Join the Gwyneth Paltrow & Tracy Anderson Fit Club" by Judith Newman.

lyrics

Oysters and cocktail sauce, and then
A baked and stuffed lobster and french fries
I would have a baguette and a cheese course
For my dessert, and red wine.
I drank like crazy when the kids were babies.
How else could I get through my day?
